Consequent upon the need to take pro IT skills training to the underprivileged students who have been disenfranchised in contemporary information technology skills acquisition, we hereby request for your kind financial grants/donations from all well meaning individuals, corporate bodies and groups to carry out Free IT Skills Training for Indigent Secondary School Students within the FCT – Abuja Nigeria.

Project Title: Empowering Indigent Youth Through IT Skills Training

Project Overview: The “Free IT Skills Training for Indigent Secondary School Students” project aims to provide underprivileged students with cutting-edge Information Technology (IT) skills to increase their employability and competitiveness in the digital job market. This initiative targets students from low-income families who lack access to high-quality education and technology resources. By offering them free IT training, we hope to break the cycle of poverty, foster innovation, and help them secure jobs in IT-driven industries upon their graduation.

Objectives:

1. Equip students from disadvantaged backgrounds with cutting-edge IT skills.
2. Increase employment opportunities for indigent students by providing relevant certifications.
3. Empower students to pursue higher education and careers in IT fields.
4. Foster digital literacy in underserved communities.

Target Audience: Indigent students in remote secondary schools from low-income households.

Free Tech Skills Empowerment Training (#FTSET) is a program initiative of Iyke Technology Solutions aimed at empowering the poorest of the poor children in the remote local secondary schools to empower them with contemporary information technology skills free of charge. This desire is birthed by the urgent need to get skilled up by all especially the youths due to the presently hard-biting harsh economy in the country.

IT Courses We Cover:

• Basic Computer Literacy: Familiarity with computer hardware, software, and essential operations (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace).
• Digital Literacy: Internet navigation, email use, and online collaboration tools.
• Web Development: HTML, CSS, JavaScript basics for website design and development.
• Coding/Programming: Python or Java basics to introduce students to coding.
• Data Analytics: Introduction to data management, spreadsheets, and basic analytics.
• Cybersecurity Fundamentals: Understanding of online safety, data protection, and ethical hacking.
• Graphic Design & Multimedia: Introduction to design software like CorelDraw, Adobe Photoshop and Fireworks, video editing tools, and content creation.
• Cloud Computing: Basic understanding of cloud platforms like Google Cloud or AWS.
• Robotics: Understanding machine learning, problem-solving skills and automations
• Mobile App Development: Introduction to mobile app creation using tools like Flutter or Android Studio.

#FTSET has been going on but now we desire to take it to a higher level at the remote schools around the FCT, Abuja to allow much more students to benefit.
